Name origin of Atelier TLIS.Atelier TLIS has been originally managed as a personal website namedSmoke Stings Studio since 2003. The initial of Smoke Stings Studio, SSS, is used three times "S". "Three times" means "tri-" as prefix in English, so "TRI-S". And I replaced "R" by "L", so "TLIS (please pronounce "tlies")". There's a reason for using "L". I have visited more than 150 bars, or pubs in Tokyo, for about one and a half year to improve my sense of interior design. I like Scotch whiskies, so my favorite cocktail is "Rusty Nail". The recipe of this is Scoth whisky is added to Drambuie (a liqueur of Scotch whisky + honey), this is simple and profound, so I like it. Some bartenders told me that he used TALISKER, single malt whisky (usually this cocktail is based on some belended whisky), for that cocktail recipe because he guessed I liked TALISKER (bingo!), though I visited that bar for the first time. I like TALISKER, and some bartenders thought that I like TALISKER, so, the name of this website is "TLIS" not "TRIS", and pronounce is "tli-es", originally "SSS (three times S)". So I like TALISKER, but to tell the truth, I like Ardbeg best.
